Our main service area includes Catania, Taormina, Mount Etna, Giardini Naxos, Acireale, and surrounding towns on the eastern coast of Sicily. How can I book a transfer or Etna tour with GoingTaxi?

How far in advance should I book?
For airport transfers and standard routes, we recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance, especially during high season (May to October). For Etna tours and custom itineraries, booking a few days earlier is ideal so that we can secure the best schedule and plan around weather conditions.
Can I make last-minute or same-day bookings?
We do our best to accommodate last-minute and same-day requests, depending on vehicle and driver availability. The fastest way to check is to send us a WhatsApp message at +39 346 011 0794 with your details. We will confirm as soon as possible.
What information do you need to confirm my booking?
To confirm your booking, we need your full name, mobile phone number, date and time of service, pick-up and drop-off addresses, number of passengers and luggage, and any specific needs (child seats, extra stops, language preference). For airport transfers, please also provide your airline, flight number, and arrival or departure time.
Etna Tours
Do you offer transfers to Mount Etna with a visit included?
Yes. GoingTaxi specializes in combining transportation and a guided or self-guided visit to Mount Etna. We can pick you up from your hotel, apartment, or cruise ship, drive you comfortably in a Mercedes minivan to the Etna area, wait for you during your visit, and then bring you back or continue to another destination, such as Taormina or Catania.
What types of Etna experiences can you arrange?
We can organize a variety of Etna experiences, including visits to the Sapienza Refuge area, cable car and 4×4 excursions to higher altitudes (run by local operators), easy hikes suitable for families, and combined tours with wineries or traditional villages. Tell us your interests and fitness level and we will suggest the best options.
Is a guide included in the Etna tour?
Our standard service includes private transportation with an experienced local driver, but not a mountain or hiking guide. If you would like a certified guide or to join an organized Etna excursion, we can help you book it with reliable partners and coordinate the timing with your transfer.
What should I wear for an Etna visit?
The weather on Mount Etna can be much cooler and windier than on the coast, even in summer. We recommend comfortable closed shoes (no flip-flops), layered clothing, a windproof jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat. In colder months, bring gloves and a warm hat. If needed, you can often rent jackets and shoes at the upper stations for an extra fee.
Prices & Payment
How are your prices calculated?
Our prices are calculated based on the route, distance, duration of the service, number of passengers, and any waiting time or extra stops requested. We provide a fixed quote in advance, so you know the total cost before confirming your booking. There are no hidden fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
We generally accept cash payments in euros directly to the driver. On request, we can offer electronic payment options (such as bank transfer or online payment link) for advance bookings. Please mention your preferred payment method when you contact us so we can confirm the options available for your service.
Are entrance tickets and activities on Etna included in the price?
Unless clearly stated otherwise, our quotes include private transportation only. Tickets for the Etna cable car, 4×4 jeeps, guided hikes, park entrance fees, and any food, drinks, or winery tastings are not included and are paid directly to the local providers. We are happy to give you an estimate of these additional costs when you plan your visit.

We primarily use modern Mercedes minivans and cars, chosen for their safety, comfort, and generous luggage space. All vehicles are regularly maintained, air-conditioned, and fully licensed for professional passenger transport in Italy.
How many passengers can travel in one minivan?
Our Mercedes minivans typically accommodate up to 7 passengers plus luggage, depending on the exact model and the amount of baggage. If you are a larger group, we can arrange multiple vehicles or discuss options for a custom solution. Please provide the exact number of adults, children, and suitcases when you inquire.
Are your drivers English-speaking and licensed?
Yes. Our drivers are fully licensed professionals with excellent knowledge of the local area and experience in serving international guests. Many of them speak English and Italian, and can assist you with practical tips, recommended stops, and local information during your trip.
Do you provide child seats and space for luggage?
Yes, we can provide child seats and booster seats for different ages at no additional cost, subject to availability. Our vehicles have ample luggage space for typical holiday baggage. To ensure we bring the right equipment and vehicle, please tell us the age of your children and the approximate number and size of your bags when booking.
